Best Women's Boutique and Bridal Shop

We had the pleasure of interviewing Sue Cerulli, owner of the best bridal dress shop in Chicagoland, Bri'Zan Couture. We were excited to learn more of this amazing women's story and her passion for success, family, and bridal fashion. To many she is just a dress shop owner but the meaning of her business had started when life threw her a curve ball.

"I started this business as a single mom with no financial backing, and a drive to fulfill on a goal. At the time, I was in the process of a divorce and adjusting to life as a single mother. I had never lived on my own before, and didn't pursue any financial benefit from the dissolution of my marriage, so I was truly on my own. I had this dream of being a business owner in this industry, and wanted to provide a financially stable life for my daughter. As a veteran of the financial industry, I saved every penny to invest in this store. Bri’Zan Couture is named after my daughter, who is my inspiration, and the reason I work so hard to succeed as a mother and a woman business owner."

We love hearing how women, if they have enough motivation, passion, and drive, can build something from nothing. We know you are really excited about what you do, but what is it specifically that you love?

"It has always been a dream of mine to be in the wedding industry. I love helping people, I love fashion and I love weddings! The idea of helping a woman find that perfect dress she’s been dreaming about since she was a little girl, gives me goose bumps. I remember I had a bride who came into the shop, who had probably tried on 500 dresses. When she described what she wanted, I could see it and started pulling the dress and the accessories and the shoes to fulfill her vision. When we put all of it together on her, she started to cry. Then her mother started to cry. Even I teared up. I knew then that we had nailed it! It’s such an amazing feeling to be a part of preparing a woman for the most important day of her life."

Bri'Zan Couture is the place to go! We are always looking for places and people where the owner and staff truly care about the brides. Sue, what is a wedding shopping experience like at your store?

"Once our client makes an appointment, they are sent a handwritten thank you card for making an appointment. We’ve created a palatial bridal area, separate from our other dressing rooms that makes our brides feel like they are a princesses. We welcome family and friends to be a part of the experience as well. Our consultants are with our brides from the moment they enter the store until they reach their wedding day, whether it is to choose the perfect dress, handle alterations or finding an additional accessory six months later. We get to know our brides and become part of their inner circle. So much so, that our consultants often make the invite list for the couples’ weddings."

What a great experience for a bride to have as she looks for her perfect dress! She not only provides a great atmosphere for her clients but she also showcases her fashions to the community that benefits several charities. A few of these events have been:

630 Fashion Show with Loaves and Fishes, Naperville Woman's Club benefiting DuPage Senior Citizens Council, Naperville Junior Woman's Club Fashion Show benefiting Kids Matter and Safety Town, High School internship opportunities for Marketing and Advertising, and the list goes on! The next show she will be involved with is The Chicago Bridal Expo at the Marriott Hotel at O'Hare January 17th, 2016. "Enjoy the moment! Too many brides stress out on whether or not they are going to find 'the dress' and if it's going to make them 'cry'. Take recommendations from your Bridal Consultant. They are the experts and will help you find the perfect dress. "
