Jennifer Alvarez, a graduate of Pivot Point Beauty School, has dedicated herself to being a student for life for over a decade and continually seeks education for inspiration. This foundation and passion towards her career has created opportunities for her, which include, creating and assisting at photo shoots, fashion shows, educational venues, and charity events.  For the past ten years, Jennifer had been an employee at Zano Salon in Naperville where she was the Creative Director, an educator, and worked behind the chair.   She now is focusing on her passion as a freelancing Hair and Makeup artist.

 

She has had the privileges of working with, and assisting many great artists, including the Creative Director and co-founder of Aquage, Luis Alvarez. These influential relationships have moved Jennifer to educate and mentor many colleagues in the art of Hair Design and Makeup, products, and business.

 

 Jennifer has been awarded the 2012 Chicago Cosmetologist Leo Passage Award, the 2013 and 2015 Chicago Cosmetologist Stars photo shoot competition first place winner, and the 2013 and 2014 Presidential Scholarship.  Her current adventures have included studying at the London Vidal Sassoon Academy completing the creative cutting course.  She also has completed the five-day workshop with Vivienne Mackinder studying the art of hair dressing and razor cutting.  In 2014 and 2015, Jennifer had completed makeup classes, both taught by Celebrity Makeup Artists, studying Bridal and Airbrush Makeup. In 2015, she had completed a 3 day course with Celebrity Hairdresser, Sharon Blain, in The Artist's Edge Workshop.  Jennifer states that her career goals continue to evolve, as she consistently grows as a Designer, Educator, and Session Artist in the beauty industry.
